〜 Building strong bodies and fostering rich individuality and a spirit of mutual support in children 〜

Three Features of “Liberty☆Kids Gym”
1. Transforming core strength
Through practicing introductory circus techniques that train balance, such as aerial arts and tightrope walking, children develop their core strength.
2. Professional active artists nurture children’s self-expression
Circus is art! Rather than competition, it develops individuality and allows expressive abilities to blossom.
3. Fostering a spirit of mutual support
Through experiences of supporting and teaching one another, children develop consideration for others, gratitude, and trust.

The Background to the Birth of “Liberty☆Kids Gym”
~Circus helps promote children’s physical abilities and emotional development!~
In many countries around the world, including France, Canada, and Finland, circus is incorporated into children’s emotional education. Since 2004, while conducting research and study in France, the home of contemporary circus, Michiko Tanaka, representative of Setouchi Circus Factory, became convinced that circus education methods could be highly effective in enhancing Japanese children’s physical abilities, self-expression, and social skills.
Children grow accustomed to virtual reality through games and other activities from an early age. Yet they and their friends are living, physical human beings. Experiencing the wonder and vulnerability of the body and retaining a sense of reality fosters kindness and strength toward oneself and others. With this in mind, preparations began in earnest in 2016, and “Liberty☆Kids Gym” launched in Kagawa in 2019.
